This List of Parishes in New York State is a work in progress. When completed, it should contain every canonical Orthodox parish in New York State as well as missions, monastic chapels, seminary chapels and some non-canonical parishes. The Capital Region encompases the greater Albany-Schenectady-Troy-Saratoga area. The Hudson Valley runs roughly from the Capital Region south all the way along the Hudson River to New York City. New York City and Long Island includes the five boroughs of the City of New York as well as Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Central New York is roughly from Herkimer in the east to Syracuse in the west. Western New York is west of that. Northern New York is between the Capital Region and the Canadian border.
