Custom signatures for discussion pages
==Custom signatures for discussion pages==
 Have you ever noticed a custom signature like the one Moved to [[UserHelp:ASDamick|Rdr. Andrew]] uses on discussion pages? If you want to know how to do it, here's how: #Go to your user page. It should be something like '''<nowiki>http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/User:Name</nowiki>''', where Name is your username#Create an article by typing '''/sig''' after your user name in your browser's address bar. For example: '''<nowiki>http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/User:Name/sig</nowiki>'''#This should prompt you to create a new article '''User:Name/sig'''#You can start the article by clicking on the link that says something like '''Start the Name/sig article'''. In reality, you can call the article anything you like#Copy and/or modify this sample custom signature or view other's custom Custom signatures for ideas (e.g. [[User:ASDamick/sig|Rdr. Andrew]]'s or [[User:Joe Rodgers/sig|Joe Rodger]]'s):#*'''<nowiki>[[User:Name|<strong>Your Name or Nickname</strong>]] [[User talk:Name|talk]] [[Special:Contributions?target=Name|contribs]] </nowiki>'''#*This sample would produce a signature similiar to this: &mdash;[[Special:Listusers|<strong>Name</strong>]] [[OrthodoxWiki talk:Anything Goes|talk]] [[Special:Recentchanges|contribs]] 12:00, 16 Jun 2005 (EDT)#Paste your modified version in your /sig article and save the page#Go to your [[Special:Preferences|preferences]] page#Under User data, look for the box that say's "Your nickname (for signatures):"#Type '''<nowiki>{{User:Name/sig}}</nowiki>''' in that box and save your preferences#Now whenever you are talking on a discussion page and press the signature button on the editing bar, it will have your custom signature on it
